Please be gentle. I spent most of today trying to visualise some of my suggestions for iPhoto. And here it is:

I agree with the basic idea. There should be more continuity between how albums work in iPhoto and iTunes. I don't really like having "HomePage" and "Print" buttons that lead to exporting and printing and ordering respectively. One problem with this is that the labels don't really reflect what the buttons do. I also don't really know what should happen when you click on the buttons. How is the interface going to change to support both printing and creating books? What I would do is let people customize those buttons (for instance, I use email a lot, but hardly ever print to hard copy, so I should be able to put an email button there and leave print as a menu item.

I strongly endorse the search field. As far as I can see, the old search function is gone (am I missing something). Instead you have to create a smart album. (One advantage to the smart album method is that you can search by date and rating and stuff; I guess you could have something like the finder where there is a search field like you have and a more comprehensive search menu item.) I also think that the keywords need to be integrated better into the rest of the program, as you have done.
