Panther Folder Actions

Where can I get good info on Folder Actions?



I have a folder called "Multimedia Files" and in it I have 2 sub-folders: "Pictures" and "Movies". Their paths looks like this:



/Users/Me/Documents/Multimedia Files

/Users/Me/Documents/Multimedia Files/Pictures

/Users/Me/Documents/Multimedia Files/Movies



I use the "Multimedia Files" folder as a downloads folder. It gets messy, so I want to organize it better.



Thus, I want any file that is dropped into the "Multimedia Files" folder to be redirected to the proper sub-folder (i.e.; all .jpg files get moved to the "Pictures" folder, and any .mpg files get moved to the "Movies" folder.)



Any ideas?

    Yep. Assign folder actions. I think there is a default script that is called "Duplicate as JPEG". You could edit this to suit your needs.
