Bluetooth Problem with 17" Powerbook

Ever since I got my 17" Powerbook a few months ago I've had a problem in that it will not allow my Apple bluetooth mouse or keyboard to wake it from sleep.

When I go into Bluetooth Preferences there is a check box that says "allow bluetooth devices to wake this computer" but it is grayed out and I cannot check it off.

My Powerbook came with Jaguar preinstalled but I did a clean install of Panther on it's virgin bootup.

I've also updated both Panther and Software Update to the latest configuration and still no luck.

I have a G5 and don't have this problem with it, the "allow bluetooth devices to wake this computer" is not grayed out and I have checked it and it works just fine.

I'm assuming something is corrupted somewhere, what's my best bet on how to get it to work properly?

Someone directed me to a troubleshooting article on Apples site about my exact problem:

I just had to download the latest firmware (which I thought I had) and it did the trick.
