X11 & xnest
can someone try this on their os x
you will need to have a linux box with xdm/kdm running
with xdmcp enable
on os x do as follows
1.start x11
2.in the term window type
xnest :1 -query foo
where foo is the name or the ip of the linux box
or you can also try
xnest :1 -query foo -ac
-ac will temporarily disable access control
you should see the remote desktop pop up in the xnest
window.
i can get this working on linux/solaris/win32
refuses to work on os x & im trying to track down the cause
ive also posted this issue on apples website
aka i cant get my powerbook to see the linux/solaris boxes
via xnest
thanks
