I can't uncompress this ZIP file....is it from a vacation at a hotel in France? How can I get it to de-compress? Didn't work on OS X's Stuffit Expander or OS 9.x's full version of Stuffit Deluxe.....is it a zipped version?
from Aladdin:
- StuffIt Expander 8.0.2 includes a number of changes designed to better support Zip archives created by Mac OS X 10.3 "Panther". If a file being archived with Panther zip compression contains a resource fork and/or Finder information, those parts of the file are stored in a separate folder at the root of the archive. StuffIt will now correctly combine a data fork with its associated resource fork and Finder information as it is being expand
Uhhh, your not ragging on the cowbell, are you? Thats pure blasphemy!
Someone give him a good whack in the head with the ban stick!
I'm by no means talking down to the cowbell, I'm just amazed that Murbot outdid himself again. I'm surprised at what comes out of those iDisks these days.
OK, I just stuck up the regular wmv file, not a zipped one.
Funny though, at first it said "member's page not found" when I clicked on the download button, but when I reloaded the page it started to download just fine....
Too late, already downloaded the newest version of Stuffit which took care of the problem....and oh my, it's apparently one of those wildlife documentaries where all the hyenas' eyes glow. Very creepy. There's also a skinny girl in some of the pictures. And a rooster.

In the future, save yourself the trouble and use Panther's built-in unzipping utility for zip files. I changed all my .zip files to be opened by BOMArchiveHelper. I hate stuffit and the day I never see another .sit file can't be too soon.

Glad I finally got Paris unzipped.
hehe...
It doesn't appear to be that challenging of an accomplishment anymore...
ahem...
As for file compression. . . .
Join the revolution, use BZIP. . .
I guess I need to go out and write a GUI for it.
