Sick iMac DV

Hi guys. I recently inherited an iMac DV at work that will not boot up. I am not worried about any data on it, so I'm thinking of just wiping everything and starting anew.

I have the following OS's, and would like your recommendations on the best method to have both 9 and Jaguar co-existing on the system.

OS 9.2.1

OS 10.1

OS 10.2

I'm pretty sure I will need to do a firmware update, which is no big issue, I'm just wondering what order I should do everything in.

Thanks!

    firmware update

reformat with 10.2 cd (make sure to install os 9 hd drivers)

    install 10.2, update to 10.2.8

    install 9.2.1, update to 9.2.2

make sure to follow the FAQ steps between each installation (permissions, fsck)

also you might want to turn on journaling as well when you update to 10.2.8
