i am looking seriously at going into a Comp. prog. major next year and am pricing computers to prepair for what i need to spend this fall, and when i saw the price of the g5 i thought RIPOFF, 3000 for a desktop???, but then i dug deeper.



an equivelant dell, dual 3ghz(32 bit) dvd+r 120 gig and 256 friggen megs of ram and for this they want $3486, damn that sux, now my delema is can i do the Comp prog. essentials on a mac?



(unfortainatly i will keep windows around for vb)

    congratulations. you now see what apple has been talking about forever. people complain about the prices, but theyre actually pretty good.
