Lombard and faulty RAM. Help.
My lombard seems to freeze for no reason.
I have tried to install Panther and Yellow Dog Linux and it froze on both installations multiple times.
I reinstalled OS 8.6 and it ran but I got a bunch of Type 2 errors.
I zapped the PRAM. No go.
So, the computer has two RAM modules. A 256MB low profile SO DIMM in the lower slot and 128MB SO DIMM in the upper slot.
I tried taking the upper one and installing YDL but it wouldn't run the installer because an error of Type 11. (is this a memory error?)
Anyway, do you know how I can check if it is definitely the RAM that is at fault and which module is the bad one?
Anyway to fix it?
BTW, I also ran TechTool and said that the RAM tests were passed.
Right now I just pulled everything out and will try tomorrow again. It hope it all goes well.
