Yes, for only 100 dollars. Anyway, if you don't have a dock, how do you connect it with a computer?

    Which iPod?

The original one with moving scrollwheel or the newer ones with the electrostatic touch wheel?

They both have different inputs. I believe the older ones had a standard FireWire input and you only needed a plain FW cable. The newer ones have a custom jack that needs an adapter to connect to a regular firewire cable. But it's odd these aren't included with your purchase (even used). This makes me think it's the older kind which didn't need the adapter or dock.

If it is a dock-connector iPod, then it needs the special Firewire cable that is included with the iPod. The dock is just a stand that has the dock connector on the back, which you connect the cable to.

Question is will it have enough room to grow with your collection?

A friend doesn't want it and I'm taking it off of her for $100. I don't know if it has a dock, but she said she got it for V-day, so it must be new

Hell, for $100 it's a steal I think. Splurge and buy a dock if you need to Still cheaper/better than the alternatives

Since I already have an mp3 player (RCA, iPod kicks major ass), and the 'rents don't like it (Mp3 player was my birthday gift. Store 128MB plus whatever SD card you have in it), I can make at LEAST $200 on it (Sell it on eBay for a little less than $300)

Hmm, I don't know about splurging. I have $211.75 right now, and if I get the iPod and reband my watch (That really needs rebanding), I have 86.75 left, and I kinda like to have a decent amount of $$ at all time should I need it
