Invisible items, including .DS_Store files, have suddenly become visble. Any ideas how to hide them again ? Using 10.3.

    InVisibles

I know I used to use that before I learned to use the terminal to work with invisible files.

Handy for occassional visibility meddling, but I just want to restore files' defaults over the whole disk. I suppose if I get rid of the obvious ones (desktop, home) the rest aren't as annoying.

It could be a permissions error. Try repairing and see if that helps.

Which software did you use? I'm sure they do the same thing though.
