I guess that apple had this page designed, proofed and approved by Americans.

is it THAT different from £14?
i dont even find the pound symbol on this damn "§§% keyboard. (not mine, so it#s not alt-3).
i thought that 5? would be exactly ?5 .. or 50 FRF would be FRF 50, or 500 BR$ would be BR$ 500.

I actually prefer to write dollar amounts with the unit after the number. I guess it's my Physics background.
Heck, I write things like 10-50k$ on a regular basis.

I write stuff like 15$ sometimes, because I'm saying it in my head that way. No one says, "dollars fifteen," they say, "fifteen dollars." C'mon, even the Italians put their numbers before their nouns!
