Yes yes, if you go to ipod forums the exo3 isn't the "official" company's but made by Lajo. That said, I think this is the perfect skin for those that aren't clumsy enough to drop their ipod but may accidently scratch the ipod. Wanted to see your opinions of whether or not this skin is worth it. It's made of literally paper thin silicon, so thin you don't even notice its on. here's some picts of it:

What do you guys think? if you don't drop it or anything, want the beauty of the ipod to show through, and don't want scratches, is this a good case to do the job? its also only 9.50 US dollars.

Seems cool. I would have to cut the top off to use my iTrip but it is cheap. I already have scratches so it won't help with those.

I have an exo2 and I have to say I'm not that impressed. Yes, it's much thicker than this new one, but it's still a hindrance. It gathers dust very quickly, and the material prevents you from being able to easily move it in and out of your pocket. The rubbery material kind of clings to the cloth. I have given up using it, and now I don't care about scratches anymore - I just use my iPod bare.

I scratch my ipod by just looking at it! About the iTrip. I remember a forum person showed that the iTrip would still work with the exo3 on (it's THAT thin)

edit: yeah, I found a picture. here it is:

the picture shows a pink one *shudders*

When I bought my original iPod, I babied that thing as if it were a rare diamond. When I got my recent 30GB iPod, first day I had it I tossed it in my pocket with my keys. It's a utility, I don't spend a lot of time staring at it anyway. I was happy for it to get its first scratches so I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm probably in the minority here.

Now your ipod can have safe sex, without feeling like its having safe sex!

    Its that thin!

edit: the holes in the top and bottom might make it less safe...

I kept my iPod pristine for the first three months I had it until one day I was walking around my block with it in my pocket and I bent down to tie my shoe and it popped out on to the street. It now has scrapes across the entire back silver plate as if I had tried to sand a rough asphalt street with it.

I felt like throwing up for a week.

The plastic covers seemed like a silly waste of money add-on before but now it's clear that for the ten to twenty bucks it would have been well worth the price.

I scratched my ipod on the very first day I had it . it was on a table, and was accidently bumped so that it span in a circle on the table. It then had scratches in a circular pattern on it. Luckily, the hold switch died on it, and they gave me a brand new one. This one's been protected well besides a scratch on the viewing screen.

O, I ordered one just today and there's a secret thing on his website where you can get $5 off your order. So basically free shipping! woot! Will post how it goes.

Not in a minority. Ditto here. Had my 15GB 'bout 5-6 months (that long?!) Couple weeks ago I started carrying my iPod 'naked' in my pocket. It'll get a few scratches, but as long as the screen isn't damaged I don't mind. Gives it a used and loved look and feel. I don't intend to sell it anyway, so what the hell. If we're both happy doing our music thing (my iPod and me, I mean), what's a scratch (or several)?

I treated my original iPod like a Zippo. It was a blatant design classic and the scratches didn't make a blind bit of difference to me. Likewise my new one: it goes in my pocket with spare change, keys, whatever, on my bike, dumped on the table.
