I was lucky to be able to get rougly 35GB of Royalty free stock photos

But since they are so much there's no way to back up them on CDs

Here comes DVD!

Took me only 8 DVD discs to back up all of the images. Each full DVD only takes 22 minutes to burn. Pretty damn good for 4.4GB of data

I can't imagine how many CDs will be need if I don't have the superdrive

Handy having so much info on one disc isn't it? I'm still shocked that DVD-ROM hasn't taken off for the consumer channel. Guess I'll do my part and buy Encarta DVD when I get the chance.

Man, at $8 CDN + tax, I think I would actually would use DVD-Rs as coasters! Design something nice and put it on one of those labels you can get to put on them.

Damn that's a lot of dough down the drain.

You weren't doing anything while you were burning that disk, were you? I don't think I'd risk burning $8 just to go see some titty during a burn session.

Well....I really was doing a lot of things when the disc was burning.....I have never seen any problem with CDs so I "assumed" it would be the same to DVDs
