Just FYI, that would be theoretical FPS, or the FPS your card is capable of, your display can't even do that.
True, but don't over look the fact that even if we get monitors that can handel such a high amount of frames... our eyes would no be able to tell the difference between 70fps and 2000fps. This is just a benchmarking tool...

i just played Ut2004 demo for the first time and the FPS is quite disapointing, i get about 30-50FPS
So if someone has a Rad 9800 could you pls post as i might buy one if it's a great improvement.

I was agreeing with you...
And adding that our eyes can't tell the difference in frames past 70... +/- 10fps depending on the person.
Anyway...
I would also like to see some more benchmarks... there has to be more people with X11 on their macs in our communtiy... shout out.
Maybe someone has an OpenDarwin install they would like to show off?
