iMac logicboard Rev. B + power issues
Contrary to what <a href="http://www.thinksecret.com/features/imacpartnumber.html"; target="_blank">Think Secret</a> said on 4/22 about no differences being seen on the Rev. B of the iMac's logicboard, there's one glaring exception. Early versions of the Rev. B have a two-inch wire jumping parts of the logicboard. This wire appears to be hand-soldered and looks pretty darn shoddy. This suggests that there are unacknowledged issues with the original board.
On the upside, not as many iMacs are coming in with the dead power supply issue. I wonder if this is actually a result of the change to Rev. B of the logicboard.
