    Blah!! Up to 8khz?! Sure that was not a typo and should be 48? Sure hope they bring out a higher quality solution soon.

    Isn't more limited by Apple's ability to increase the iPod recording quality?

    Exactly. Right now the iPod's recording quality is limited to 8 bit/16 Khz. The microphone adapter and the quality of the microphone you plug into it can't change that.

    Now if we could pair this with best-of-class voice recognition software, automagically downloaded to a new Apple word-processor, we'd be getting somewhere.
