help quick - need to know a say of getting audio in through USB

for a Powermac Dual500 G4 . . .

I have FCP

and Protools with audiomedia card, but alas . . . a minidisk player with optical/to/usb converter and no other means of getting it in . .

I have sounds that I recorded on my minidisk and I need them for a project pronto.



any ideas?

    Perhaps someone knows of freeware or shareware apps that will allow me to do this?

    The minidisk player must also have analog sound out. Run that to the audio in of your computer and record it. If your Mac does not have sound in then get a Griffin iMic. It has an analog in port and connects to the Mac via USB.

    thatnls for the reply, but the point of optical to USB is maintain the highest quality without loss of data . . . I was hoping to be able to keep it digital (if optical is digital)
