iSight Question

Maybe this is a stupid q, but I am still going to ask.



I am a 3d animator (well, studying it anyway), and am going to buy a webcam so that I can record my face "acting" out lines... so that I can play it back when animating, to help give my characters more life (or more Les T)... can the iSight work as a recorder and playback? Or is it solely for webcam broadcast?



I would assume it does record and playback, but thought I would ask anyway.

    Yes, the iSight will act like a normal DV camera. You can capture video from it and save to QuickTime movie files with iMovie or any of several freeware/shareware DV capture tools. You can then edit those QuickTime files on your computer just like any others.

    Sweet. Than ks for the info... I was just playing with an iSight in David Jones in Sydney... Man, they are sweet. I just gotta get my hands on one.
