Using Lynx

For old-time's sake, I just downloaded and installed Lynx. Ah, the days when this was my preferred way of web browsing over a 14.4 modem...

Anyhow, to get it to run, once I'm in Terminal I have to type "/usr/local/bin/lynx http://www.whateverilike.com" Is there any way to configure things so at the prompt I can just type "lynx http://www.whateverilike.com" to get things going?

You would have to set /usr/local/bin into your PATH. However, I am puzzled as to why it is not already in your path.

to check if it is... run...

    echo $PATH

and this should give you a bunch of directories, look for it.

EDIT: mind you, I only have a few days worth of experience with Darwin, then i killed the computer it was running on. So someone like Brad would be able to walk you through setting a new path. While I do know how to do it... my reference would be Linux and I don't know if it is the same in that respect.
