What kind of connection exactly do you want to set up between them?
One to share an internet connection?
For sharing files?
Most of these options can be found in the Sharing pane of System Preferences on your Mac.
For example, to share files from your Mac to your Windows computer, check the box for "Windows Sharing" with the description: "Click Start to let selected Windows users access shared folders on this computer using SMB/CIFS. This will also let Windows users print to shared printers." Once enabled, you will have a message beneath it describing how to access your Mac from another computer on the network. In this case, it will read: "Windows users can access your computer at \\\\yourip\\username".
