Bluetooth Keyboard and Final Cut Pro?

So here is what happened...

My mother ordered me a copy of Final Cut Pro for my laptop today...

I go to the Apple Store in Walnut Creek...

I decide a Bluetooth option will be easiest so I will not have to deal with more cabling...

I bring it up to the counter to pay for it, and I ask him with the keyboard box sitting up, (since none of the few Sales Associates at the store who were walking around mindlessly having nothing better to do than ask me if I had any questions) "is Bluetooth compatible with Final Cut Pro?" then he says "it depends on what the input device is"...okay, obviously it is the keyboard that is right in front of his face, and an Apple keyboard at that! When I told him "a keyboard" he said "hmmm...uhm...yeah it should be"

Aside from the bad customer service, my question was half assed answered...

So... is Apple's Bluetooth keyboard compatible with Final Cut Pro? I would assume yes but one never knows...

[RANT] Yes, most of this thread was a rant on how bad the customer service was at an Apple Store gasp and I am a little ticked off about it...

I don't blame the guy, personally. \ Your question was a pretty weird one. I don't think I've ever heard someone ask if FCP is "compatible with bluetooth" because bluetooth devices are handled my the system just like USB decides are. He was probably confused by your question because he, like I would, was wondering what kind of bizarre bluetooth device you could be using to input data into FCP. Of course Apple's mouse and keyboard are going to be compatible; they wouldn't be selling them if they weren't.

Well seeing as how Bluetooth is an add on (ot use to be, and at one point was not built into the hardware), I was just being precautions but he did not seem to even have a clue, he seriously looked brain dead on the question.

I am pre-cautious by default, having been in Q/A...

There is even some software I have seen lately at the store that is not compatiable with Mac OS X...but they sell it...and hey I though Mac OS 9 was dead? Guess not.
