Is the 17" inside the eMac the same as the 17" ASD that Apple sold not so long ago?

    I don't think so. They have different max resolutions:

    ASD:

    * 640 by 480 pixels at 153Hz

    *\t800 by 600 pixels at 125Hz

    *\t832 by 624 pixels at 120Hz

    *\t1024 by 768 pixels at 99Hz

    *\t1056 by 792 pixels at 96Hz

    *\t1280 by 1024 pixels at 75Hz

    *\t1600 by 1200 pixels at 65Hz

    eMac

    * 640 by 480 pixels at 138 Hz

    * 800 by 600 pixels at 112 Hz

    * 1024 by 768 pixels at 89 Hz

    * 1152 by 864 pixels at 80 Hz

    * 1280 by 960 pixels at 72 Hz

    Has anyone seen it in person yet at an Apple Store?

    I'm wondering with it's low dot pitch (.25) if it's a Trinitron tube.

    I doubt it'll be at the Apple Stores since it's only for education.
