HELP! CD stuck in 17" PB

I've had this 17" PB for about a year now and I recently put in a CD (about a week ago) and I can't get it out. The CD doesn't show up on the desktop. I know this question might have been asked before but all the topics I searched for, none of the solutions worked for me. I've tried holding mouse down and boot, and typing eject cd at boot all that didn't work. Is there any other way to eject it? It's a slot-loader...

Thanks,

Logan

Here's a thread I have in my bookmarks. Link. You say that you have tried key combinations and rebooting, but have you tried the "jabbing-something-in-the-hole-on-the-side" thing yet? I assume 17incher PBs have this hole as well as the 15incher. Look at all the links on that page too.

    Mouse or trackpad button?

I'm not sure, but I believe there is a way to eject it from open firmware, and I'm sure there is a way from the terminal you may wish to look up.

I'm not sure if all powerbooks have that hole... my 12" powerbook doesn't have one. if my cd got stuck and the mouse button doesn't work... I'm screwed.

in open firmware, the command is

    eject cd

    (with space, no dash)

if you tried that with no success, did OF give you an error message?

I held mine to where the cd would fall or wiggle into place over the cd-head. Incidentally cd's only get stuck in mine when its real cold... As soon as I went to the warm inside it would immediately spin it up and let me use it and/or eject it.

I tried eject cd in open firmware (with space not dash, of course) and holding the powerbook in different positions while doing eject cd and it was unsuccessful and I received no error messages. Any other suggestions?
