I have my eyes on Edirol monitors for audio . . . but haven't heard much about them . . . anbody ever use them?

they have all sorts of inputs, including optical, so that when I eventually upgrade to a G9 (hopefully before that) it will work with teh monitors.

Yeah I've got the MA-20D - sounds like the ones you're talking about or whatever the current model number is. Good value for money IMO. They were recommended to me by a sound engineer who reckoned the sound quality was comparable to the more expensive brands. Far as I'm concerned they were a great buy. If you're doing editing, mixing etc you need stereo monitors (I presume you realize they're a different thing to listening speakers).

Yeah, its for editing and post-sound work . . . I'm looking at the 10D, which are the smaller ones . . . I've heard that perhaps the bass response is a little light . . . but all I want is accuracy and uncolored playback

    Your recommendation is good . . . . I'm tipping towards spending what I don't have . . . . hmmm?!?!?!?\
