iDVD PAL to NTSC or the other way around

I have a question, is it possible to create a NTSC DVD using IDVD if my original material is PAL exported from FCP or iMovie ? Or considering DVD Studio Pro, can compressor also 'convert' ?

    dont hold me to this, but i think all video has to be in pal if youre making a pal dvd. i dont think idvd can convert the mpegs.
