Is there any easy to use software that will rip DVD's in any of the following formats:

MPEG1

MPEG4

QuickTime

AVI

DV

???

If I can get them in one of those formats, I can then run them though Kinoma Producer, then transfer them to my SD card and watch them on the Palm whilst travelling on the train .

Thanks,

Dave.

Do you realize how large a DVD (or even part of one) will be even in MPEG1? Way too large to put on a PDA. Get a laptop, or a portable DVD player, the PDA thing won't work.

Actually, I have heard of people compressing movies down to about 128MB for postage stamp size displays running at 15fps. Don't know if this is usable.

Try looking on Version Tracker. Handbrake is one that has been mentioned a lot lately.

    Use HandBrake.

My friend used it and converted a concert DVD to MPEG4 format then dump it to his PocketPC.
