converting Mac-burned CDs to audio

How do you convert computer-burned CDs of downloaded radio programs to make them compatible with audio CD players? (for listening while driving)

    What format did you burn the CDs in? Did you burn them as audio CDs or data? If data, what file format(s) are the radio programs in?

    Please bear with me, because I'm pretty much a beginner on computers. The CDs themselves are CD-R. I assume the computer burns them as data, or they would work in an audio player. I do not know what "file formats" are, but I use RealOne Player-- if that helps.
