Range of iTrip

My mom wants to get an iTrip for her older iPod (it's the original 5 GB model). Basically, she wants to get that along with a waterproof Speedo radio so she can listen to her songs while swimming. However, her main concern is that the iTrip won't reach far enough for her to pick up the signal on her radio from the other end of the 25 yard pool. Anyone have experience with this? How far is the iTrip's range?

    30 feet maybe, but 25 yards, not likely. She'll have better results if the pool is indoors.

    She could put the iPod inside a waterproof plastic bag... But personally I wouldnt do it..
