I don't think these two are related, in that one is a research announcement and this is a product road map.

Hmm, with any-luck we will already have G5 iMacs & Powerbooks by then.

The only thing that I noticed is that there are two announcements that are related to apple happening on the same day, and one has a strange clock count down. I wonder if they are related to new apple products in that IBM announces a road map and apple announces new products based on that product. It appears that late March and early April are where it is happening for Apple in the short term. This is nothing that others have been saying here for quite awhile now but more indications that the planets are aligning. So I agree that we should have many new products very soon.

Nice... A system that defends itself! If they can actually pull this off, then Apple and Symbiot stand to make a lot of money. Maybe this is the beginning of the new Apple revolution?

    Go 15% market share!!!

Exactly! Little by little, now that Apple has the stores for foot traffic, and the iPod for the little money Mac experience, and now "different" applications for the enterprise.

After trying to draw some logic between the 2... ultra fast G5 announcement from IBM along with computers using above cpu by Apple and Symbiot using Apple products for the networks that attack back...

Anyone think I am even mildy close?

i don't think link 2 and 3 are related to link 1, does it?

Depends on how you look at it... It may be pulling thin air, but it is doable. I am guessing we will see new fast macs soon.

Oh and IBM will show that they will be above 3Ghz this summer too!

No logic. I thought that was obvious. 1 is not related to 2 and 3 except for the date of announcement. The big announcement is that IBM will announce a road map on the 31st. That same day a company that has ties to Apple will announce a very different product for the Mac. I was pointing to the fact that Apple is on the verge of making big announcements of thier own, on or around the 31st. I doubt that Apple will wait for NAB to announce a whole new lineup of products. My guess there we will see software announcements and maybe then the PowerMac, earlier we may see the iMac and other announcements. So somewhere in the next three weeks Apple should make an announcement, to begin the refresh cycle. This is more evidence, unrelated evidence.

Delaying a whole product line, just to develop some security technology? Now, could you explain how is this possible? Since we are already on March 22, and if you go to order a G5 XServe you get the usual 5-7 weeks shipping time. Somewhere around May, that is. 4 months away from the new XServe introduction. I don't remember something similar in the Mac history, the more recent at least. May I say... incredible?
