I want to buy a laser printer to print reasonable black and white images on standard A4 photocopy paper.

I dont need color, but I do want to get shadow details etc good enough to use as a rough guide for artwork...in my case it is to be for drawing up an canvase for painting.

I am using classic 9.2 with a older iMac.

Any brands advice ?

1200 dpi would be max need.

For monochrome laser, I'd go with H-P.

What software are you creating documents with?

Nothing complicated. Merely wanting to print straight off Quicktime imageviewer or Photoshop Elements 2.

I might want to jiggle the contrast etc..but it's not for the internet or for any other inbedded document sheet like PDF.

    Thanks
