Can I swap the keyboard of a brand new 12" iBook G4 800 with a keyboard from the 12" iBook G3 900?
They look exactly the same to me. The iBooks themselves look identical, except for the slot-load optical bay on the new iBook G4.
I have a 12" iBook G3 and a a pal of mine has the 12" iBook G4. I like the look of the opaque keys of the newer G4 better, and my pal prefers my "ice" keys (slighty transparent).
Will it work?

Seriously though, you don't have to cut any wires or anything, do you? Just swap them out and see if it works. Should be no problem as far as I know.
