okay, just give a look at the HUNDREDS of pix from the latest megacon. frined of mine thought i would be interested, and i was, but more from a psychological profiling standpoint...

MegaCon 2004

this is just one of MANY events that spawn cosplay, though the majority of them seemed to be centered around comics and video games (and when they collide). some of them are good, and some are, well, some of the scariest sailor moons i have ever seen.

on one hand, this can be a discussion thread about cosplay in general, while i think it could also go down the "caption contest" route too. (come on, you telling me you can't think of any caption to go with the image of jubilee crotch-punching the blue-unitard mega man?)

anyway, at least it is an excuse for a lot of grown women to prance around in school girl uniforms, so i guess there is a silver lining.

there is some quality detail work to be found in some of these costumes, but it does lend credence to my belief that, in real life, brightly colored spandex and lycra just look silly.

"Spandex is a privilege, not a right."

They should post that at the entrance to every con.

Of course, the cons would be a *lot* duller...

Oh heck, let 'em go for it. Keeps everyone insane in one loony bin.

    Crossplay is even worse.

I do remember seeing a guy with an autobot costume that was fully transformable (with guy inside). Gotta give him props for that. I can't find the pictures.

    speaking of BriteSmile:

"We secretly replaced the The Trooper on the left's normal polish with a generic, no-name brand. The Biker Scout on the right continued to use our famous Trooper Brite armor polish! Let's see if Leia notices..."
