Check out this story.

Good old Billy G. says hardware will be nearly free in 10 years. I bet Dell and Gateway love this. Of course Windows and office will still cost hundreds of dollars.

In general I am sick of these 10 year predictions about the "Future of Computing" No one ever knows what they are talking about and no one can really predict that far out.

Just what we need... "Hey, it sounds like you're writing a letter!" In high-fidelity surround whenever somebody so much as sneezes..

    Hence the 'winky' smilie.

Alas, we do not have smilies for 'I know what I'm talking about and I'm making a joke for the others that know as well'. Oh well.

<--- I am not 'sad'. I am disheartened that we don't have the smilie type described above.

<--- I am not literally sticking my tongue out at you from across state lines. This means I'm actually starting to like the broad meaning of these things.

<--- My eyes are not really popping out of their sockets. I am just wowed at the broad meaning of smiles.

<--- I'm not really smiling at you. However, I am on the inside, and that's what counts.
