password issues

When connecting to a server using the Go menu, I am getting a password error. It is saying I have entered too many characters (seems to only allow 8 characters maximum). The password on the server is 9 characters and works locally on that server.



I cannot figure out where/how to change the password policy to allow more than 8 characters.



Any help would be appreciated.

    Which OS version is running on each of the machines in question?

    10.3.3 on the client

    10.3.3 Server on the server
