Multiple monitors on G4 tower

I'm setting up a system at work for photoshop work and the user says he likes a multiple monitor setup for doing color work. How does one go about connecting the second monitor? Since there is only one connector which is being used for the main monitor, I suspect that I need to install a video card to drive the second. Which video card? Where do I buy one? Does the OS automatically recognize the second monitor once the card is installed? I'm totally lost here...

    What G4 system is this?

You can either get another video card, PCI based, like the Mac Radeon 7000, or you can replace the AGP card with a dual head card, like the newer Radeons or Geforces.

After that, it's really plug and play. Open up display in system preferences to configure both screens and arrangements.

Find an suitable graphics card for your mac (AGP etc). If you Mac doesn't support AGP then don't buy an AGP graphics card. You local mac retailer (or internet) will be able to supply prices and specs of compatible card if you give them the specs of your mac.

Install and setup using the display option in System Prefs.
