does anyone know if the issues are resolved with the FW800 & external hard drives within OSX?
I'm thinking about a Lacie D2 250 gig hard drive to use with my powerbook running 10.3.3 as i'm recording audio & need speed.

I use a similar one form OWC and have no problems. Just make sure it is a 7200RPM drive with the 8 meg buffer if you are looking for speed.
If you want to save money, you can also build one yourself using the same kits that OWC sells their drives in and combining it with whatever hard drive you want.
