No optical drive in education model

Check out the education page. You can get an emac for $599 with no optical drive.

    Here in education land we're thinking this might be 'just the ticket' for our computer labs. All of our students are required to save to servers anyway...

    um, i'm looking at the education page right now and don't see anything about a sans-optical emac... i don't even see a place where you can remove it...

    They offer it to institutions... not sure about individuals.

    It also has a 1ghz processor. Could it be the old model with the optical drive removed?

    the gfx card isn't mentioned, but the ram is still DDR 333, so i'm gussing everything else is the same
