audio in?

Why is the only computer, these days, that has Audio in is the eMac?

Did Apple just realize that people like to use that audio in port for stuff?

Personally, I have used it to record voices for documentarys and it is really odd that they took it off, in favor of having to get an external audio in port

There's also an audio-in on the new PowerBook. Perhaps they'll appear in the other models as they're updated?

You could always use a USB audio device. Such as a USB mic. Just a thought.

I never understood why Apple removed the audio inputs from some of their machines. However, the external USB based audio I/O devices such as the iMic work really well and are pretty cheap so this is not really a problem. Actually, my powerbook has audio input but I use an iMic anyway as it gives me more options for conversion rate.
