Mini Powers Up on Docking

I know it's normal behavior... but does anyone know if there is a way to stop the Mini from powering up when it's docked? I usually just come home after work and dock it to top off the charge. It always goes on... and then I always turn it off while it's docked. I always try to limit the wear and tear on my electronics... I'm sure it wouldn't make a big difference if I left it on... I just prefer it to be off when I'm charging it.

    Then don't keep "topping it off." Let it cycle through the whole battery charge most of the time if you can. Your battery will stay healthier that way.

    If I'm not mistaken... Lithium Ion batteries prefer to be "topped" off vs. being fully discharged prior to recharging. I believe regular complete discharges can actually reduce the life of the battery.
