Question for iBook owners...
With a Dell that I owned a few months back, the attached screen began to loosen to the point that if I tilted the system back, the screen would just fall back. Not completely loose, but too close to it.
My question is this. Has anyone here had this happen to them on their iBook (iceBook)? I have a 700mhz iBook thats only a week old and the tension in the screen is great to hold it's position. I just don't want that to fade.
Any input would be much appreciated.

I have a 600 mhz iBook. I have had no problems with the screen working loose. In fact its as tight as the day I pulled it out of the box. Just jealous of your speed.

Ahhh, the never-ending battle of speed envy. We can never have enough.

My screen still works great on my 500 mhz iBook. It squeaked some when I bought it but it's settled down now. My latch thing doesn't work anymore though, my battery is shot, and one of the rubber feet fell off, so it hasn't been totally durable.

That really sucks. All of those things are fine on my 500MHz iBook (except that I had to get the battery replaced a couple of weeks ago).
Has been six months and with no problem
But my two complaints:
1) The case is so easy to scratch
2) Hard drive slows down everything
Has the battery failure been a big problem for iBooks? I just ordered a new battery so I hope whatever it was has been fixed by now.
Still Going!
