Yea, I'm really not sure which one is best...but I need to set one up soon so I can do my trading online. I heard AmeriTrade is the best one (I think?), but theres also Etrade and some others ...Datek or whatever its called. Factors are fastest trade executions, lowest commissions, whether I can buy any stock (penny stocks), lowest monthly fee, lowest sign up fee etc etc etc...if anyone has comparisons, person experience, or just wants to tell me I will lose all my money in the stock market feel free to comment here. That is all.

Scottrade. $500 minimum, $7 trades, low margin rates (if you're into that kind of thing) $12 limit trades, no inactivity fee, free streaming quotes. Excellent service.

I use TD Waterhouse, and am pretty happy. I don't buy and sell a lot though.
