Final Cut Pro suddenly importing only 1 audio track?!?

My best friend is editing a movie on my Mac, and has been importing video. It was all importing fine, 1 video track and two audio tracks. And then all of a sudden it started importing only one audio track.



Even if he goes back and reimports footage that he imported before, its only one audio track. None of the settings in Easy Setup or Audio/Visual Settings have been altered. Nothing has been changed at all.



Does anyone have any idea what could cause this? And, more importantly, how to get around it?

    check the prefs and make sure you're importing in stereo. also, i suppose the original video could be in mono.
