I have a copy of appleworks 6.0 but it needs to use classic but i dont know where my OS9 disks are. The person who lent me this disk has it on OSX. I have the 6.2.9 updater but i need to install appleworks first. how do i do this?
Are you running OS 10.3.3? For quite a while now OS X has included Classic. Did you intentionally remove it? You should be able to launch Classic from the Classic control panel then install AppleWorks.
no ... you still have to have an installation of OS9 to run Classic.
not sure how it works on the "non-9-bootable" machines, but a clean install of 10.3.3 on my machine did NOT result in an available Classic environment (not that I miss it )
