ssh to another machine via a Socks5 proxy - how?
hi everyone,
today I've been spending over an hour trying to find some software that'd allow me to ssh from my iBook to a remote computer from behind my company's firewall.
I know that there's a SOCKS5 proxy that allows this and already did connect from a windows machine - but I couldn't find any Socks5 client for the MacOS X. Or can I somehow configure ssh to use that proxy by default?
Also, I noticed that the Networking preference pane allows to enter a SOCKS proxy in it's proxies section, but entering the data there didn't help.
ideas? help?
thanks in advance,
durandal

Unfortunately, no. I tried this one yesterday and it seems to support SOCKS4 only. In fact, I found several MacOS X tools supporting SOCKS4, but none that does SOCKS5. Well, except for my ICQ client, but that doesn't help much...
Anyway, thanks
