ETA new displays?

I've been awaiting the ever-imminent new displays (including rumored 30") since last year when the rumors were running deep. Then the PowerBooks updated. Now they've updated again . However, I've been hoping to purchase a PowerBook plus new-model (faster pixels, larger hopefully) display plus AppleCare to cover both. The catch is that you have to buy the display on the same receipt as the PowerBook being covered by the AppleCare. Now, I really need a new PowerBook to replace my ailing PB500, but where are the new displays?



Anyone have any idea, ETA? Any chance this month (or is that definitely out)?

    Tough cookie to crack. No new development since last discussion on this as to my knowledge, huge thread about this couple weeks back. Anyway, I think the styling points toward a major revision and new pricing, but apple is taking their time with it, if anything. Perhaps they are waiting for the next rev-amp of the G5 Towers to pair with the displays. In the hardware bonanza we have recieved over the past week I hardly see space for more, but this is Apple...
