Print setup window blank, help...

Running a mac G5 bi-pro with os X.3.3, in any of my softwares (illustrator,photoshop, excel, ppt ...) when I select print setup from the file menu the print set up window comes up, but... it blank, no button no text no nothing, I can't make it go away. I have to force quit the application.

Did anyone ever have this problem and what is the fix.
