For audio, you need to get a cord that has a stereo mini-plug on one end (like the plug headphones have) and RCA audio plugs (red and white) on the other. Plug this from your PowerBook's headphone jack to the appropriate connectors on your tv.
As for video, it depends on which size PowerBook you have. Both the 15" and 17" models have S-Video out. If your tv has an S-Video in jack, then just buy an S-Video cable and directly attach your laptop to your tv. If you only have an RCA jack for your video (the yellow plug), then there is an adaptor that should come with your PowerBook that you plug into the S-Video jack and then attach your RCA cable to.
If you have a current 12" model, on the other hand, for video out you need to buy the mini-DVI to video adaptor sold by Apple, which then gives you the option of S-Video or RCA video out. If you have the original 12" model that doesn't have DVI, there is another adaptor you have to buy (I think it might be the same one sold for the iBooks, but don't quote me on that).
Your powerbook should have come with an s-video adapter. It looks like this:
Get a regular rca cable to hook that up to your video in rca port on your tv or vcr.
Then you just get a cable from radio shack that has a regular 1/8" stereo jack on one end and rca outs on the other.
If your tv or vcr doesn't have connections for the rca plugs, you probably need to hit radio shack and get an rf converter or something like that. HTH.
As for the sound, you'll need a Stereo Mini to RCA converter...which can be picked up at a radio shack or somewhere similar. It will have two RCA plugs on one end, and a mini (headphone size) jack on the other. The mini plug goes into your PB, the RCA (red and white) go into your TV.
As for video...need to know the above information before we can help much with that.
My powerbook is the new 12 inch one. I think thats titanium. And I don't think mine came with an adapter it's seperate.
Are you sure it looks like that??? I don't know if I have an outlet on my computer that will fit that. My camera does.
Yep, torifile's post seems on the money. The adapter is separate however. I think this link will get you to the appropriate product at the online Apple store:

And I'm guessing it looks different since torifile's pic is of the adaptor for 1st gen 12" PowerBooks (and iBooks). The mini-DVI connector end of the adaptor you need will look like that on the mini-DVI to VGA and mini-DVI-DVI adaptors that, I believe, come with your machine.

Is it a Titanium or Aluminum power book?
What size screen does it have?

Just for the record - the 12" (along with the 17" PB) introduced the new form factor with the Al casing, so there was no 12" Ti.
