iMic like devices ?

was wondering if there were any devices out there like the iMic that provides audio inputs with 1/4" jacks instead of 1/8"........



also



is there one using firewire? [maybe that extra headroom will do good]

    Try the MOTU 828, that's short for Mark of the Unicorn. I believe the site is <a href="http://www.motu.com."; target="_blank">www.motu.com.</a>



    There's another model, 896 I think, and that's higher end than the 828.

    FireWire audio input devics are pro-level and accordingly expensive. The extra bandwidth isn't needed for stereo 16-bit 44Khz audio unless you're using a scanner or printer at the same time. Solution: Don't do that. Adapters from 1/8 inch to 1/4 inch are $5 at Radio Shack.
