You know, usually I have no trouble labelling the groups these young punks today (sarcasm) listen to, but this particular band of individuals has my brain twisted in different directions, critically speaking. What do you think?

    Absolutely not a fan.

I lost all respect when I saw "will.i.am" (which, btw, is a stupid name that pretends to be clever*) on someone else's cribs show. He just happened to be "hanging out" in the house and then did a little rapping. I was embarrassed for him. About a year later they took off with the help of a girl member and by hitching a ride in other folks' wakes. These days, watch any award show and you can see those fools standing behind celebrities getting interviewed hoping for camera time.

What I'm getting at is that they are willing to do anything to get attention, so those making money off make them out to be some underground group when really they are just a group of losers that need a hot girl to make them famous and would give Meatloaf a BJ if they were told to.

Then consider the fact that they dress like 9 year olds on halloween. They're whole style has long been a mash of borrowed crap from various underground scenes repackaged to fool people that never saw the originals.

*I just looked at the site and two of those losers have periods in the middle of their names. Severe lack of originality?

Don't get me wrong, I'm no urban linguist but I thought "being retarded" (as a sort of compliment??), went out of style in 1993? I think the Wu-Tang used to say that back in the day? It totally cracked me up when I realized that ESPN NBA Playoff commercial was actually a take-off on a track called "Let's Get Retarded". Seriously, I couldn't stop laughing for about five minutes. Surreal.

I love how at the beginning of the song they say something like "no disrespect intended", as if people who know a mentally retarded person would say "Oh, OK then. They don't mean any disrespect, let's dance!"

According to the B.E.P., terrorist groups consist of:

The Ku Klux Klan - I guess I can go with that one.

The Bloods - Gang members, but not terrorists.

The Crips - See "The Bloods" above.

The Central Intelligence Agency - That's a stretch, now isn't it?

And, like any other pop-crap group out there, they felt the need to write a song to introduce each member of their band -- i.e. Hey Mama. Now I'll admit, I used one of my free Pepsi songs to download it, but I'm not saying it's much more than a funky beat that you can shake it to.

They'll be has-beens in another two years, if that.

If they keep getting retarded, it might only take another couple months or so.

I share giant's sentiment and what has really been pissing me off lately are the BEP NBA Playoff commercial on TNT. During every break I'm forced to hear them rap/sing about 24 second clocks and buzzer beaters. Weak TNT. I want Chuck D and Terminator X to bum rush the show.
