Sounds like the kind of things "Regime Loyalists" would do. At least we are doing something about it, but how wide spread is this behavior?

Prisoners with wires attached to their genitals

    A dog attacking a prisoner

Prisoners being forced to simulate having sex with each other

A detainee with an abusive word written on his body.

What, it's good enough for fraternity pledges, but not prisoners?

Well, ok, ok, it's really bad I guess. Lighten up.

Several soldiers involved in abuses have allready been found guilty and sentenced . . . I'm not sure its teh same case though - but, some of the abuses in the previous case were amazing . . . and surprising from Americans: including stomping on a prisoners leg against a concrete corner so as to break their bones . . . its tough

I don't know if anyone noticed, but a while back I read about a soldier who had written to his family describing how his fellow soldiers were abusing teh Iraqi families whenthey searched their houses: including feeling up the women and stealing lots of things as well as physical and verbal abuse>

I think that one of the post-war plans that would have been smart would have been to give the troops lessons in Middle-Eastern Ettiquette. It is important that we be recieved well over there, if we are going to be able to 'effect a transfer' (any time in the next twenty years) without it being one born out of hatred for America . . . . I hope that its not too late for that.

This story started being reported in Oz over 36 hours ago and yet the wall-to-wall political animals around here barely seem to have touched this one.

Hmmm interesting....maybe the US is getting the censored version.

I'm amazed you're amazed by this. These sort of abuses have occurred in every recent war (and probably most wars) but especially those since WW2 when the rules of warfare were pretty much tossed out the window.

    Brutality breeds brutality.

Don't hold your breath on the effective transfer. Ain't gonna happen.

Yikes, that's f'd up. I was going to comment on some of the more gruesome things done by solders past... but we should be setting the damn bar here, not stooping down to that level. I donno, maybe seeing your buddies being attacked by suicide boomers makes your screws go a little loose.
